Mercury Bay Arts Development Trust (MBADT) is a registered charitable trust working to establish a dedicated arts and creative hub for Te Whanganui o Hei / Mercury Bay and the wider Eastern Coromandel.
Building on a community-supported feasibility study, the Trust is working with local stakeholders, mana whenua, community organisations, businesses and local government to develop accessible creative infrastructure that will support arts participation, cultural wellbeing, youth opportunities, community connection, and the local economy.
The Trust’s vision is to create a vibrant community asset that serves residents and visitors from Whangapoua to Pauanui.
